Slow Cooked Barbeque Beef

Makes 8 to 10 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean stew meat
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 1 cup all-natural barbeque sauce
  • 8 to 10 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted

Directions

  1. Add the meat, onion, prunes, and barbeque sauce to the slow cooker and stir to combine.  Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. When the meat is done, use two forks to pull the meat and prunes into shredded pieces.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly between the hamburger buns and serve.
